Idaho produces 144 commodities statewide.  Idaho continues to be among the nations leader in the production of several commodities and is ranked in the top ten in the Nation for 29 different crops and livestock.

Cash receipts were at $4.3 billion, which indicates Idaho agriculture is strong and remains the state’s leading natural resource-based industry.  Aproximately 50% of Idaho’s wheat crop is exported, and over 75% of Idaho’s dry peas and lentils are also exported.  Idaho exported a total of $789.2 million worth of agricultural products in 2004!
